Details for this year’s
Melodifestivalen have been released by the Swedish organisers. Melodifestivalen is one of the most popular
national finals in the contest, and there will undoubtedly be even more
interest this year in the run up to Sweden hosting ESC 2013 in Malmö.
Ticket
selling starts on October 25th 2012.
Melodifestivalen will be held in
the following towns in Sweden:
Semi-Final 1: 2nd of February in
Karlskrona‘s Telenor Arena
Semi-Final 2: 9th of February in
Gothenburg’s Scandinavium
Semi-Final 3: 16th of February in
Skellefteå Kraft Arena
Semi-Final 4: 23rd of February in
Malmö Arena
Second Chance round: 2nd of March
in Karlstad‘s Lofbergslila Arena
Final: 9th of March in
Stockholm‘s Friends Arena

No ticket prices are known yet.
The Friends Arena holds 60,000 which is a lot more than the previous 14,000
capacity Friends Arena, meaning this year’s national final could be one of the
largest ever.
The only confirmed entrant to
date is Terese Fredenwall, who was the winner of the Svensktoppen Nästa
