Creating the Perfect Blog

  Since nowadays there are a lot of bloggers and having a blog has become an important trend on the internet, I will show you the most important elements about creating the perfect blog. I've created my blog in May 2010 just because I wanted to try it and now it became a part of my life and because of my blog I've made several dreams come true. So let's start the lesson.

  First you have to choose a platform for your blog, you can either choose  to create a personal website and have a blog there or just a simple blog created on a free platform. There are a lot of free hosts that can offer you a free blog and the most popular are WordPress and Blogspot. Romanians are crazy about WordPress but for me it's just to ancient and I prefer to use Blogspot. Just go to www.blogger.com or www.wordpress.com and create your Blog. 

  After your blog has been created you need a template for it. You can use a template offered by your host, for example Blogger has a special feature and you can create your template by choosing a design and then you can modify it as you wish. Personally I think that those features are good but not good enough to express the perfect blog. 

  Your Blog has to be an extension of your personality, not just a simple design used by 3.000 people all over the world. How can we do that? Well you can always find services online where you can pay a special designer to make you the perfect blog ( that costs around $300 ) or you can just use your imagination. 

Over the internet you can find loads of templates that can be easily modified if you have some knowledge about HTML or Java Script.  

  If you want cool templates with sliders and a lot of nice features you need a premium template. Just type on Google 'free premium templates for blogger' and you will find loads of websites that will offer you a lot of templates where you can choose from. I recommend you to use  http://btemplates.com, they have the perfect templates for everyone and you can spend hours just looking for the perfect design. 

  Let's suppose you've chosen your design and now you need to insert it on your blog. Usually when you download it (don't worry it's free)  the template is archived and you need to use Winrar to extract the content.

After that, just go to your website, log in and search for "Design" button (for Blogspot), click on that and you will see your blog sketcher and click "Edit HTML". Then some codes in alien language appears ( alien language for those who don't understand HTML ) and you just have to click on "Choose File" and select the file you just have extracted with Winrar, after that just click "Upload" and your blog is ready use! 

  After that, you can add gadgets (clocks, polls,  images, videos, visitors tracker etc ). It is important to know how many people are visiting your blog, that's why I recommend everyone to use www.feedjit.com (this will track down your visitors but DOES NOT keep an archive of your visitors ). To have a permanent tracker that collects all your visitors you can use 'Flag Counter', this will keep an archive of your visitors.  

  If you want a special gadget that  tracks down how many people are online on your Blog you can use www.radarurl.com, this will show you how many people are online on your Blog. Don't forget that all these gadgets are inserted using Html/Java Script and then you can delete them if you want. Blogger offers you the opportunity to remove your title and add an image instead. You can edit an image containing your Blog's title using PhotoShop or PhotoScape. Make sure you use the same color as your template. 

  Some templates come with a special slider that will show the latest articles on your blog and we have to admit that this gadget will surely make your blog look professional. Most of the templates have special instructions on how to edit the slider but in case you don't understand something, feel free to contact me by leaving a comment below. 

  There are a lot of gadgets for you, but you just have to find the perfect ones that fits your Blog. My blog is mostly orange because I'm obsessed with this color and Eurovision elements that are extensions of my personality. It will take you some time to make the perfect design but in the end everything will look smoothly. 

  Probably you find '.blogspot.com' disturbing because it's too long but don't worry, you can always buy a domain (they're not so expensive) and ask your provider to re-direct your new address to your blog. I want to buy a domain (probably florinESC.com)  to make my Blog look more professional.
