The EBU has revealed moments ago that the dates for the 2014 edition of Europe’s favorite show will be 6 May for the first semifinal, 8 May for the second semifinal and 10 May for the grand final.
Mr Jan Ola Sand, the Executive Supervisor for the Eurovision Song Contest has added: The Host Broadcaster DR explored all options, and came to the conclusion that they keep maximum flexibility in chosing a venue and host city by scheduling the Final for the 10th of May.
Ms. Pernille Gaardbo, the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest executive producer (DR) also expressed her thoughts regarding the change of dates : We have tried to find a date that suits the cities that currently compete for hosting and which also fits our European colleagues.
