Hannah Mancini is an American singer who works and lives in Slovenia. Together with Sylvain and Mike Vale, she took part in the Slovenian national final for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Ti si tisti. She was internally selected to represent Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö and I had the chance to ask her a few questions:

1. What made you decide to take part at Eurovision this year?

The main reason is that i was invited by Slovenia national television to represent Slovenia this year, and because i had already competed once to go to ESC in EMA 2 years ago, i was very interested and honored to be chosen to go this year.
2. What do you know about Eurovision? Do you have any favorite songs from past editions?

I have always known about Eurovision and the fact that its Europe's largest festival of countries joining together to compete with their chosen songs. It has been responsible for launching many singers and bands into world wide success. (ABBA, Katrina and the Waves, Celine Dion, Lena, Loreen). Its a fantastic way to share each country's expression. My favorites include Loreen, Lena and Celine Dion.
3. What do you think about Slovenia's achievements at Eurovision? Who were your favorites and why?

I think we've seen some great entries. Nusa Derenda came in 7th in 2001 with the song Energy, Maja Keuc did very well in 2011 at 13th place. My personal favorite, Sestre (Samo Ljubezen) did not do as well as them, but was a unique entry that i enjoyed.

4. Tell us something about your song "Straight into love". What is it about?

Straight into Love is simply about falling for someone fast, not slow; realizing that the time is now and going full heartedly into love with all that you have.
 5. Did you prepare something special for the live show?

For Malmo, we are definitely preparing some surprises and a very interesting and individualistic l show. I promise not to disappoint ;)
6. Why people should vote for you and for your song?

I hope that people will vote for it because its a strong and passionate song and they enjoy listening to it and my performance of it in Malmo.
7. Do you have some favorite artists from Romania?
- of course Romania has made its mark in the electronic dance market with Inna and her distinct style in music production. I am a fan! :)
