After thoughts earlier this summer than Germany would be ending Unser star für, NDR has confirmed today that it will return for it’s fourth year. The highly successful selection process has seen Germany place in the top.10 for the past three years.
The final of the contest will take place on the 14th of February at the TUI Arena which holds 11,000 people, the tickets go on sale today on the NDR website. Interestingly we will see a three way voting system, the first third will be chosen by online voters one week before the contest who can listen to the songs on Bayern 3, Bremen Vier, 1LIVE (WDR), Fritz (RBB), HR 3, MDR Jump, NDR 2, SWR3 and UnserDing (SR). The final will then see a five person jury and the public televote contribute 66% of the vote.
A total of between 8 and 12 songs will take part in the Final. NDR will release some more information about the selection next month.
