Eurovision singer François Deguelt Dies age 81

François Deguelt
François Deguelt who represented Monaco at the Eurovision Song Contest twice, has died today peacefully at the age of 81. Deguelt was born in Tabers in 1932 and studied music in Paris.
In 1956 he won the Grand Prix Disque. Although born in France, Deguelt represented Monaco at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1960 and 1962, finishing third in 1960 and second in 1962. 



In 1966 he returned to the Contest as a television commentator for French TV at the time. After Eurovision, Deguelt continued his successful music career, he recorded his last single in 1982, but continued to tour until his death.
